![]() ![]() When I first read this, it really put me off Sumika’s character, but now it’s much more obvious why she acts the way she does here. With the hot springs arc starting up, Takeru’s finally thinking about his relationship with Sumika, and that ties into her key hot springs scene. The lil’ scene with Sumika ‘n’ Takeru playing with the GameGuy at the end of the birthday is kinda sweet. It leads to some alternate dialogue from Meiya later about exploring the hot springs building more – not quite as good as the stuffed animal option. My Extra experienceĪs a sidenote, I picked the book for Meiya’s gift this time around (picking the video game makes Takeru auto-choose the book after dismissing your dumb decision). Quickly have to get the birthday part of the story done, and then it’s hot spring time. That’s probably part of her appeal though, she’s pretty straight up. I wouldn’t say Sumika is as much of a complicated character as Meiya is, so a lot of what’s going on with her doesn’t require any additional explanation. ![]() Still, this dialogue right here is alright: This is pretty much the other side of the ‘Meiya causes large-scale property damage while creating eggballs’ arc in that it results in Takeru convincing Sumika to stop acting like someone she isn’t, and to be herself – which ends in another Takeru concussion. The scenes with Sumika on the cruise ship aren’t too bad. After this conversation though, the story really shifts over to Meiya’s side of this which I’ve already covered. It’s probably my favourite conversation ft. Sumika’s opening up about how she feels she’s outclassed by Meiya in every way – It features the iconic Sumika image Īnd the dialogue here is pretty good, honestly. A lot of the next part of the story focuses on Meiya, but it does feature a really good window conversation with Sumika ’bout how she’s been cooking for Takeru and why she finds that so important. ![]()
